The role

Run the production side of our live broadcasts from the board. You start the stream, keep the scorebug and graphics current, cut instant replays, and keep the announcer and camera operator working together from the show open to the close.

We train you on our setup before your first game. The season is underway, and we bring on producers and board operators on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities

  • Start, monitor and end the live stream, and fix picture or audio problems as they come up
  • Run the scorebug and on-screen graphics, keeping score, clock, shots and penalties current
  • Cut instant replays of goals and key plays
  • Run the show open, intermissions and close with the announcer
  • Check announcer and venue audio before going live and through the game
  • Arrive 45 to 60 minutes before game time for setup

Qualifications

  • Live production experience from campus TV, college athletics streaming or paid work: directing, technical directing, graphics or replay. Current college students and recent graduates are welcome.
  • Comfortable running several things at once while the game is live
  • Working knowledge of at least one sport we cover. Hockey knowledge is a plus.
  • Based on Long Island with reliable transportation. Availability in Nassau County is a plus.
  • Available weeknights and weekends through the season

Nice to have

  • Experience with Wirecast, OBS, Singular.live graphics or similar broadcast tools
  • Experience producing hockey
  • Ability to cut highlights or social clips after the game

Compensation

Paid per game as a 1099 independent contractor. Scheduling and time tracking run through Connecteam.

A regular weekly schedule is available, along with additional paid work across our video and highlight production services.
